Making Portishead a truly wildlife friendly town is a job for us all. Nobody knows our town’s green spaces better than the people who live here. Wild Portishead will enable communication between the right people, supported by experts, to secure effective management of our town’s ecology for generations to come.
Wild Portishead Ltd is a not-for-profit enterprise operated entirely by volunteers. Funding for projects will come from grants, crowdfunding, workshops and talks, and the sale of merchandise at local events. We will regularly update our social media platforms with news of events and other dates for your diaries, and please do get in touch if you have an idea for an event you’d like to see in the future.
Portishead’s natural spaces can be made accessible to many more people if we put inclusivity at the heart of planning and land management. As a town, we must facilitate more meaningful engagement and consultation to understand what accessible means to you. What would let you access the nature on your doorstep? We will make sure the message is heard by those who need to hear it.
